LIGHTING & FURNITURE
Lighting design is my first love. With a degree in lighting and furniture design, I've poured my heart into crafting pendant lights, wall sconces, and tower lights for restaurants and bars. These fixtures don't just illuminate; they set the mood.
From concept to prototype, I've designed furniture that is playful and functional. Every piece I create, for both indoor and outdoor spaces, blends function with emotion, making spaces inviting and comfortable.
KIM TIM
Dancing Shadow Pendants
Kim Tim represents the very essence of my passion for lighting. By day, it stands as a striking architectural sculpture, a testament to design and aesthetics. When night falls, it transforms, casting an enchanting dance of elegant shadows. Available in various pieces and sizes, it can be used individually or combined to create unique sculptural installations. It's an honor to say that Kim Tim has received recognition. Kim Tim lighting fixture won "Best Lighting Fixture" at the Academy of Art University Spring Show 2015.
CUBELLA
Floating Cube Furniture Set
Cubella is a 4 piece furniture set that can be configured in multiple combinations to create various seating arrangements. The unique laser cut metal base supports floating, tapered cube cushions that come in a variety of suede colors.
SUNSPOT
Organic 3D printed Lounge
Sunspot merges a comfortable design with a simple industrial form. Derived from the pattern of the endangered checker spotted butterfly, Sunspot's pattern can be seamlessly tiled. Transparency and dappled shadows help make this sculptural lounge furniture seem light and airy.
RUND
Alternating Alcoves
Rund is a piece designed for the hustle and bustle of a convention center or an airport. Too often, do seats go unused because people do not like to site directly adjacent to others. Rund explores the idea of alternating seats to give users the feeling of an individual spot to nestle, while still exercising efficiency with space planning.
SEABO
City Seats
"Hearts in San Francisco" was a fundraising initiative set up to fund a hospital, where artists created large heart sculptures that were auctioned off for charity and placed around various public locations. Building off this idea, Seabo is the bench with a treasure within. Seabo can be located all over the city, and artists can design a unique cultural object to place within the enclosed pocket. Seabos' shape is inspired from the many sailboats found in the San Francisco bay.
